As we head into the end of 2020, we're working overtime to drum up more interest in our co-op! To get us to the 400-member mark, we've launched a Decemberlong campaign called Better Together. You'll find it on our social channels, and we encourage you to reshare from your personal account!

Did you know that October was National Co-op Month? This year’s theme was “Co-ops Commit: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion,” and Katherine Rowland spoke with member-owners about how we might better uphold our commitments to these values. Big news for the whole Co-op community: Our hours are expanding! We're providing more daytime shopping hours during the week and new, earlier hours for at-risk and senior members to shop without worrying about crowds.

Last month, we celebrated both Juneteeth, the annual celebration of the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States, as well as Pride, the anniversary of the Stonewall riots that led to the queer rights movement.

Though in the past Greene Hill members have voted to stay out of specific political debates, we know that our very existence as a co-op is a political stance.

The store’s leadership has decided to institute open shopping for the duration of NYS On Pause.

The store’s leadership has decided to institute open shopping through the end of March. This will have the dual benefits of eliminating contact with the sign-in computer and allowing the Co-op to support the local community to come in and get supplies that may be running out in other stores.

Our new hours are 3pm-8:30pm weekdays, 10am-5:30pm Saturday and Sunday. This change will remain in effect until further notice.

For those concerned about how we can best handle the situation, here are some tips we’d love to share with you so that we can get through this TOGETHER as best as possible.
