We are a cooperative grocery store in Brooklyn, New York.
Greene Hill is one of a handful of 100% working food co-ops in the USA. Together we build community, keep our prices low and our food quality high.
The New Store has been Open for 6 Month !!!! Happy 1/2 Year Anniversary!
THANK YOU! Since our doors re-opened on August 4, we have gained 100 new members and because of member-owners like you, our store shift attendance has tripled, committees are getting stronger and sales are increasing!
Our recipes are delicious. Submissions from Co-op members can be found here. Not sure what to make for dinner? Take a look in this section for ideas, grab your reusable bag, and head to the Co-op!
A: We are a group of neighbors in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene and surrounding areas who work together to run a not-for-profit cooperative grocery store.
A: A not-for-profit cooperative grocery store is a grocery store that is owned and run by the people who shop there, called member-owners. Because cooperative member-owners pool their resources and contribute most of the work, overhead stays low, prices are lower, and the quality of the products remains high.
